JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region — with around 450 employees across the group and more than 50,000 customers across a wide range of industries. We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future, from ERP systems to shop and marketplace integrations.
You will join our People & Culture department as a member of the People & Organizational Development team, reporting to the Team Lead People & Organizational Development. This is a senior individual contributor role: you own leadership development as a domain, you set its direction, and you do not manage a team.
Your target group is the entire leadership population of the JTL Group: in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Lithuania.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and lead leadership development programs that build the skills our managers and executives need at every stage of their growth
- Build and maintain competency models and career paths that connect leadership capability to real business impact
- Drive change and organizational development initiatives, partnering with leaders to turn strategy into structure and culture
- Own talent review, succession planning and high-potential developmentfor our leadership levels, together with managers and the Executive Team.
- Facilitate workshops, trainings, and coaching formats that make leadership development stick beyond the room
- Select and steer external partners (trainers, coaches and providers): define requirements, run the selection, manage quality and delivery, and build a partner shortlist we can scale with.
- Run needs analyses and translate employee survey results into targeted development measures
- You hold a completed university degree in work and organizational psychology, business psychology, adult education, organizational development, human resource management, or a comparable field.
- Around 5+ years in leadership development, L&D or organizational development, including at least two years in which you owned a leadership program end to end: from needs analysis through design and delivery to impact measurement.
- You understand organizational dynamics and have supported or led change processes in a growing company, ideally in a fast-growing tech or SaaS company
- You can turn complex people topics into clear, audience-appropriate learning content and facilitate workshops and trainings with confidence
- You approach development needs analytically — you structure ambiguous problems and derive evidence-based measures
- You communicate confidently with managers and executive leadership, and you know how to advise rather than just deliver
- You use AI tools as a natural part of your work and want to keep growing your skills in this space
- Business-fluent English: it is the working language of our leadership programs across all four countries. German is a plus, as a large share of our leadership population sits in Germany
- You're happy to meet the team in person at our Hürth office around once a week — the rest of your time stays flexible and remote
Nice to have
- Experience in a matrix organization in continuous growth and change. Ideally one shaped by M&A activity, where you have seen first-hand what it takes to bring different leadership cultures under one roof.
- Experience building or maintaining competency models and career frameworks
- Experience with L&D software as well as goal-oriented content creation
- Remote-first within Germany, with the option to work remotely from eligible countries for up to 180 days per year
- Meal allowance of up to €115 net per month
- Ergonomic workspace allowance for your home office setup
- Regular team events, company-wide gatherings, and summer and Christmas parties to stay connected as a remote-first company
- EGYM Wellpass and JobRad subsidy
- Financial benefits including capital-forming payments (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) and a company pension scheme
We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
