ISSO/Security Documentation Lead

Overview

JST is currently seeking an ISSO/Security Documentation Lead to support our team.

This is a full-time remote position. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This is a 3-month period of performance with potential for extension.

ISSO/Security Documentation Lead Responsibilities

• Categorize the system and select security controls early enough that they influence how it is built.
• Complete ports, protocols and services registration.
• Start the privacy impact assessment and the system of records determination in the first week. These have external timelines that are not ours to control, and this is a system holding personal data on roughly 35,000 people a year.
• Write control implementation statements as the work happens rather than reconstructing it later.
• Leave behind a complete set of artifact templates and a written statement of what remains, so someone else can finish assembly after this engagement ends.

 ISSO/Security Documentation Lead Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• CISSP or CGRC, which satisfies the DoD 8140 Information Assurance Management Level II baseline. Security Plus CE in addition.
• Department of Defense Risk Management Framework. eMASS. Writing control implementation statements. Privacy impact assessment and system of records notice process.
• Prior Air Force or Army accreditation package experience. Cloud or software as a service accreditation where controls were inherited from the hosting platform.

Required Clearances and Screenings

• MUST be able to pass a US Government background check
