As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work in an international engineering team focused on building highly scalable and highly available applications that solve real-world problems for millions of users. This is an opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing Polish business and contribute to the development of a new fintech initiative from its early stages. Expected competences and knowledge5+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer, including hands-on experience with Python and Node.jsStrong full-stack engineering experience across backend and frontend developmentExperience designing and developing event-driven systemsHands-on experience with React and/or Next.jsExperience with Kafka and event-driven architecturesStrong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous communicationExperience with state machines and distributed systems patterns such as Saga, Outbox and IdempotencyUnderstanding of authorization flows, ledger and settlement processesGood communication skills in English (min.
