Short Summary:
The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for analyzing portfolio performance, attribution, and risk metrics for a broad range of fixed income strategies. This role involves partnering with investment professionals to explain performance drivers and deliver analytical insights.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret performance attribution results for global fixed income portfolios.
- Evaluate portfolio, benchmark, and risk characteristics to identify key drivers of investment performance.
- Develop expertise in attribution methodologies, risk models, and fixed income investment strategies.
- Partner with portfolio managers, traders, and business stakeholders to provide actionable insights.
- Produce portfolio analytics and reporting, including holdings analysis and valuation metrics.
- Assist in the design and implementation of enhanced analytics and attribution tools.
- Support ad hoc quantitative analysis and investment-related requests.
- Maintain and support portfolio analytics and attribution platforms.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in portfolio analytics or related investment management disciplines.
- Experience working with fixed income securities and derivative instruments.
- Foundational knowledge of financial markets and risk concepts.
- Experience with investment analytics platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of programming and analytical tools such as VBA, R, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Progress toward, or completion of, the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is considered an asset.
