Software Engineer | Range Operations

Hej Software Engineer,

Do you want to help shape the digital future of IKEA?
With us, you can feel at home at work while sharing that feeling with millions of people around the world. We encourage you to ask questions, share your ideas, learn from mistakes and grow together with others. As our Software Engineer, you’ll have opportunities to try things you haven’t done before, while contributing to digital solutions that support how IKEA brings products to life and creates a better everyday life for the many people.
We are on a journey to modernize our landscape, and we are looking for a curious Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems together with others to join the Digital Product Area ‘Range Core - Requirements and Compliance’ within Technology at Inter IKEA, Range Operations. Here you will help develop digital solutions that support product development, manufacturing, suppliers and the movement of IKEA products through our global value chain.

We believe good software is created by teams where people bring different perspectives, share knowledge, ask questions and learn together. You don’t need to know everything from day one. Curiosity, collaboration and a willingness to keep learning matter to us.

We are growing our team in Malmö and looking for someone who enjoys working with people across different roles, teams, cultures and locations.

Your new job

We’re looking for a curious Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems and learning together with others. Your strengths might be in frontend or backend development, or somewhere in between. What matters to us is your curiosity, willingness to learn and interest in growing and contributing across the stack.

You’ll join a cross-functional team building and maintaining digital products across the stack, from backend services, APIs, integrations and databases to web applications and user experiences. You’ll have opportunities to build on your strengths while developing your skills in other areas. Together, we experiment, share knowledge and continuously improve how we design, build, test and deliver software.

Your work will have a global impact, helping co-workers, suppliers, and partners collaborate effectively and ensuring trusted IKEA products reach our customers.

What we’d like you to bring to the table

• Experience building software solutions, with strengths in frontend, backend, or across the full stack.

• Experience with backend development using C#/.NET and REST APIs and/or frontend development using React, TypeScript or similar technologies.

• A good understanding of software design, data modelling, relational databases and building reliable, maintainable solutions.

• An ability to understand complex problems, break them down into manageable parts and work with others to find practical solutions.

• Experience with software testing and modern development practices, such as version control, continuous integration and automated delivery.

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, GCP or AWS is valuable, but not essential.

• A collaborative mindset, curiosity and an interest in learning, sharing knowledge and improving together with your team.

• An interest in understanding the wider product and contributing beyond your main area of expertise.
