Deputy Program Manager (Prime)

Deputy Program Manager

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

At Intelliforce, we believe strong program leadership starts with understanding the mission, supporting the people doing the work, and staying ahead of what the customer needs next.

As the Deputy Program Manager on our FURIOUSLYFAST Prime Program, you will work closely with the Program Manager to help lead the day-to-day execution of a complex, multi-team mission program. You will connect the dots across technical teams, TTO leadership, staffing, finances, contracts, security, recruiting, and customer priorities to keep the program moving forward.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who knows how to operate in a fast-moving environment, build trusted relationships with technical and Government stakeholders, and turn program-level priorities into action.

You will help ensure we deliver on our commitments while taking care of the people responsible for delivering the mission.

What You Will Do

As Deputy Program Manager, you will partner with the Program Manager to support successful cost, schedule, staffing, technical performance, and overall execution of the contract.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serve as a trusted partner to the Program Manager and help lead day-to-day program operations.

• Represent program leadership with Government customers, TTO leads, technical leaders, subcontractor partners, and Intelliforce leadership.

• Help manage program performance across multiple technical teams, workstreams, and TTOs.

• Monitor staffing, schedules, deliverables, financial performance, risks, and contractual commitments.

• Identify program issues early, develop solutions, and ensure leadership and the customer receive clear, timely updates.

• Coordinate across Engineering, Recruiting, HR, Security, Finance, Contracts, and Business Development.

• Work closely with TTO and technical leads to understand current priorities, staffing gaps, emerging requirements, and future demand.

• Partner with Recruiting to drive timely staffing of funded and anticipated positions.

• Support employee retention, engagement, career development, and resolution of personnel concerns across the program.

• Track program staffing levels, vacancies, onboarding activity, clearance transfers, attrition risks, and future workforce needs.

• Help allocate program resources, including staffing, facilities, budgets, and other program resources.

• Support development and maintenance of integrated schedules and program baselines.

• Review financial reporting, labor utilization, funding, estimates to complete, and other program financial data.

• Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning, and program-level decision making.

• Prepare program status updates, customer briefings, leadership reviews, and other formal program communications.

• Review technical, financial, and contractual reports before submission when appropriate.

• Ensure cross-functional coordination across technical disciplines and business functions.

• Work with Contracts and program leadership to maintain compliance with contractual, regulatory, and administrative requirements.

• Support Engineering Change Proposals, contract modifications, staffing changes, and other program growth activities.

• Help manage subcontractor relationships and maintain strong collaboration across a multi-company program environment.

• Step into the Program Manager role when needed and provide continuity of program leadership.

What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

This an Intelliforce Prime Program, which gives our leadership team direct visibility into the mission, customer priorities, staffing strategy, and long-term direction of the work.

This role sits at the center of that effort.

You will have the opportunity to influence how we support our technical teams, solve staffing challenges, manage growth, strengthen customer relationships, and position the program for long-term success.

You will also work closely with Intelliforce executive leadership. Your perspective will matter, and you will have direct involvement in decisions affecting the program and its people.

Soft Skills for Success

The strongest Deputy Program Manager will bring more than program management experience. This person needs the judgment and interpersonal skills to lead in an environment where priorities move quickly and relationships matter.

We would specifically look for:

• Executive presence. You communicate with confidence while remaining approachable and grounded.

• Strong judgment. You know when to solve an issue independently and when something needs escalation.

• Ownership. You see an issue and take responsibility for moving it toward resolution.

• Transparency. You communicate challenges early instead of allowing surprises to reach the customer or leadership.

• Relationship building. You establish trust with Government leaders, engineers, employees, subcontractors, and internal business teams.

• Emotional intelligence. You understand people, recognize concerns early, and adjust your communication style to the audience.

• Technical curiosity. You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you want to understand the work well enough to ask strong questions and make informed decisions.

• Organization. You keep multiple TTOs, staffing actions, financial priorities, risks, and deadlines moving at the same time.

• Calm decision making. You remain steady when priorities shift or problems arise.

• Accountability. You set expectations, follow through, and respectfully hold others accountable for commitments.

• Collaboration. You work across organizational boundaries without creating unnecessary silos.

• Adaptability. You move between customer meetings, personnel issues, financial discussions, staffing decisions, and technical conversations without losing focus.

• Strong written communication. You turn complex program information into clear updates for executives and Government stakeholders.

• Strong verbal communication. You communicate directly and clearly, especially when discussing risk, performance, staffing, or difficult issues.

• People leadership. You understand the importance of retention, employee engagement, career development, and creating an environment where strong performers want to stay.

• Mission focus. You understand the customer mission and keep program decisions connected to successful mission execution.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys being involved across the full program rather than owning one narrow function.

You are someone who wants to know:

• What does the customer need?
• Are our teams delivering?
• Do we have the right people in the right seats?
• Where are we at risk?
• What is coming next?
• What does leadership need to know?
• And most importantly, what needs to happen next to keep the mission moving?

You should be comfortable moving from a Government program review to a staffing discussion, financial review, employee conversation, technical leadership meeting, or recruiting strategy session in the same day.

The right person will balance mission execution with people leadership. At Intelliforce, both matter.
