Senior Consultant_ Data Business Analyst_ UK

Role – Technical Business Data Analyst 
Technology – SQL, Domain knowledge  in Insurance and Reinsurance (specialty)
Location – London, UK

Job Description
This is techno Functional role. We are looking for a resource who has good Insurance Domain knowledge, Reinsurance (specialty) , Property & causality knowledge. Business Analyst should understand the underlying system, coordinate with business stakeholders to confirm requirements and should be able to document the requirement in STTM document for Data Engineers to refer.
Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with POs to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and functional specifications.
- Perform source system analysis, data mapping, and create STTM (Source-to-Target Mapping).
- Support data validation, reconciliation.
- Coordinate with other teams as applicable. (example - Beazley BAs etc)
Required Skills:
-Strong Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering skills
-Have a good understanding and experience in Insurance and Reinsurance (specialty) knowledge 
-User Story creation for Dev team
-Source system analysis and data mapping
-STTM (Source-to-Target Mapping) – This includes Transformation logic & derived measure
-SQL (Snowflake and Legacy system) - Required for analysis and STTM creation
-Ability to interpret lineage & Metadata
-Conceptual model or Medallion layer understanding (Bronze->Silver->Gold)
-Soft Skills - Ability to talk to Business / PO to understand "functional specifications" and convert that to "Data Specifications"
Preferred (Good to Have)
•Experience working with Snowflake is a strong advantage.
•Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
•Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD practices.
