Social, Gender & Public Engagement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan public engagement, IEC and stakeholder consultation activities
• Identify stakeholder groups and support systematic engagement
• Prepare accessible communication and outreach materials
• Organise consultations, public meetings, awareness programmes and workshops
• Support social mobilisation and participation
• Integrate gender and inclusion considerations into engagement activities
• Coordinate with communities, Municipal Council departments and other stakeholders
• Document consultations, feedback, issues and follow-up actions
• Provide social and engagement inputs to project reports and CITIIS platform reporting
• Support project training and capacity-building activities"

Required skills and abilities:

Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Social Work, Development Studies or a related field.
Relevant experience in IEC, public engagement or social mobilisation. 
Relevant backgrounds include public-sector or urban development projects, community consultation, gender-responsive engagement, behaviour-change communication and workshop facilitation.
Experience in stakeholder engagement; IEC material development; community mobilisation; gender and social inclusion awareness; consultation facilitation; communication; documentation and reporting.
