Application Developer - Java/PHP

Title: Application Developer - Java/PHP Location: Zürich, Switzerland ................ For our client in Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for an experienced and motivated **Application Developer - Java/PHP**. This role involves developing and maintaining critical applications, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and supporting operational excellence. **Your Tasks:** * Design, develop, and maintain applications using **Java** and **PHP** * Create and optimize **SQL queries** and database structures for high-performance systems * Develop and manage **APIs** for internal and external integrations * Administer and troubleshoot **Linux-based environments** * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT solutions * Provide **on-call support** during agreed evenings and weekends to ensure system availability * Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes **Your Profile:** * Proven experience in **Java** and **PHP** development * Strong knowledge of **advanced SQL** and relational database design * Hands-on experience with **API development and integration** * Proficiency in **Linux OS administration** * Proficiency in DevOps & efficient pipeline management is a plus * Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills * Willingness to provide **on-call support** during evenings/weekends as per schedule * Fluent in English, German and French is a plus
