Middle Data Quality Analyst

The Data Quality Analyst defines, monitors, and reports on data-quality rules, quality dimensions, freshness SLAs, publication readiness, and governance-health metrics. Coordinates with data owners, stewards, and engineers to ensure rule definitions are meaningful, measurable, and aligned to Government-approved standards. Supports Quarterly DataGov reporting, quality trend analysis, corrective-action tracking, and customer confidence in published data.
Job Location: Remote, however, strong preference for candidates who live in the Washington DC Metro Area. There will be occasional onsite meetings on the client site in Washington, DC.

What You Will Do:
- Defines, monitors, and reports on data-quality rules, quality dimensions, freshness SLAs, publication readiness, and governance-health metrics.
- Coordinates with data owners, stewards, and engineers to ensure rule definitions are meaningful, measurable, and aligned to Government-approved standards.
- Supports Quarterly DataGov reporting, quality trend analysis, corrective-action tracking, and customer confidence in published data.
- Apply Data quality dimensions, rule libraries, freshness SLAs, publication gates, data profiling, governance metrics, and reporting to support role delivery.
- Collaborate with relevant product, engineering, security, governance, quality, and customer-facing stakeholders as required by the role.
- Document work products, decisions, risks, and delivery evidence to support traceability and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
- Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
- Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Governance, or related field; or a high school diploma with four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience aligned to the responsibilities of this role.
- Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience defining, measuring, and reporting data quality dimensions including completeness, accuracy, consistency, validity, uniqueness, integrity, and timeliness.
- Experience designing, maintaining, and evaluating data quality rules, quality thresholds, quality scorecards, and rule libraries.
- Experience supporting data profiling, data quality assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective-action tracking.
- Experience monitoring data freshness, service-level agreements (SLAs), publication readiness criteria, and publication approval processes.
- Experience developing governance-health metrics, quality dashboards, trend analyses, and executive reporting.
- Experience collaborating with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Product Teams, Data Engineers, and Governance stakeholders to establish measurable quality requirements and remediation plans.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance, metadata management, stewardship processes, and governance reporting practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise data catalog and governance tools such as Collibra EDC, Microsoft Purview, Alation, Informatica, or similar platforms.
- Strong SQL, data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development skills. Experience with Power BI or comparable reporting tools preferred.
- Experience documenting quality findings, governance evidence, remediation activities, risks, and decisions to support traceability and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of data privacy, records management, and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
- Experience supporting Federal government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments preferred.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional delivery teams.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
