Short Summary:
As a (Senior) Financial Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Team, reporting to the VP of Finance & Legal. Your role involves developing accounting processes and participating in automation projects while collaborating with various departments on financial matters.

Responsibilities:
- Record monthly journal entries based on German GAAP/HGB.
- Maintain master data and manage AP and AR accounts.
- Oversee DATEV general ledger infrastructure and manage automated transaction pipelines.
- Monitor accounts and process open items lists.
- Handle payment transactions and operational liquidity management.
- Execute monthly closing activities and prepare annual financial statements.
- Accompany annual audits and manage accounting-related inquiries.
- Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns.
- Implement new processes and optimize existing workflows in financial accounting.

Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting with a focus on monthly closing activities and HGB standards.
- Expert knowledge of DATEV and experience in optimizing accounting processes.
- Ability to design and monitor complex internal control systems.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Google Sheets and MS Excel.
- Excellent command of German and proficient in English.
- Startup experience preferred and a strong interest in modern working processes.
- Reliable, structured working style with a strong sense of ownership.
