Short Summary:
As a Data Center Technician, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure optimal uptime and provide regular basic repair services. The role involves operating various maintenance and mining tools and equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring the facility remains safe and clean.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize all critical data center systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and fire suppression systems.
- Carry out basic miner repairs and maintenance, flash firmware on miners, and handle associated miner tools and equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance schedules, performing regular inspections, cleaning, and necessary repairs on all data center equipment.
- Quickly identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and miner issues, coordinating with multiple teams to resolve technical problems.
- Monitor and contribute to detailed performance reports, including metrics such as uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions.
Requirement:
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to power, cooling, and network systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to react quickly to critical incidents.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, systems/electrical engineering, network administration, and/or troubleshooting.
- Bitcoin mining experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and tolerate harsh environmental conditions.
