ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Senior Java Full-Stack Developer to join a product engineering team working for a leading international retail brand. This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll design and build scalable backend services and modern web interfaces that support high-traffic, customer-facing retail platforms. You’ll have real ownership of your work and a direct impact on the products millions of customers use.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You’ll join a team building and evolving a microservices-based ecosystem that runs on Azure, with event-driven communication through Kafka. The work covers the full stack: Spring Boot services and APIs on the backend, and Angular applications on the frontend. You’ll help shape technical decisions, keep code quality high, and work closely with product and engineering peers in an agile environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Solid experience as a Senior Java Developer using recent Java versions (Java 17+/21)
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3.x
• Proven experience designing and building microservices architectures
• Solid frontend experience with Angular (recent versions, 16+)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Apache Kafka in event-driven systems
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Must be based in Portugal

Compensation: €2,550 – €3,350/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
