IT/OT Transformation Program Manager – Remote Portugal/Spain/ The Netherlands

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A senior program leadership role for someone who has spent their career at the intersection of industrial operations and digital transformation — and has the delivery scars to prove it. You'll be leading complex, multi-site IT/OT convergence and Industry 4.0 programs from assessment through execution, working with cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, IT, OT, and Cybersecurity. If you've built transformation roadmaps from the factory floor up, managed executive governance across large manufacturing organisations, and know how to drive business value through structured program management, this is the scope you're looking for.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll lead end-to-end delivery of IT/OT transformation initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites — spanning OT assessments, technology modernisation, industrial data foundations, and IT/OT convergence programmes. Working alongside architects and domain experts, you'll define integration roadmaps, reference architectures, and governance frameworks that translate current-state complexity into future-state strategy. The stakeholder landscape spans business leadership, manufacturing and engineering teams, OT and IT functions, and cybersecurity — with executive communications and governance as first-class responsibilities throughout.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 12+ years of experience managing large-scale IT/OT, industrial automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 transformation programmes in manufacturing environments
• Fluent English — written and spoken, at executive stakeholder and governance level
• Demonstrated track record of multi-site program delivery — scope, schedule, budget, risk, and dependency management across complex industrial environments

IT/OT Transformation Delivery

• End-to-end delivery ownership of OT assessments, technology modernisation initiatives, and IT/OT convergence programmes
• Experience facilitating workshops, site assessments, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to define current-state and future-state strategies
• Ability to build and manage transformation roadmaps that drive measurable business value across manufacturing operations
• Collaboration with architects and domain experts to define OT/IT integration roadmaps, reference architectures, and technology standards

Manufacturing Systems Integration

• Deep understanding of industrial automation, OT environments, and manufacturing systems (SCADA, DCS, MES, or equivalent) in production contexts
• Familiarity with industrial data foundations and how IT/OT convergence enables operational visibility and performance
• Experience working across multi-site manufacturing organisations with diverse technology landscapes and operational maturity levels

Stakeholder & Governance Management

• Proven ability to coordinate complex cross-functional stakeholder groups: Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, OT, IT, Cybersecurity, and senior business leadership
• Strong executive communication and governance — you're equally comfortable in a steering committee and a site assessment walkthrough
• Experience managing organisational change management (OCM) as an integrated component of programme delivery, not an afterthought
• Structured approach to risk management, dependency tracking, and programme reporting throughout the delivery lifecycle

NICE TO HAVE

• Formal programme management certification: PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PMI-ACP
• Experience in regulated manufacturing verticals: automotive, pharmaceuticals, energy, aerospace, or food & beverage
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks in OT environments (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of cloud-connected industrial platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or Siemens MindSphere)
• Background in consulting or systems integration delivering transformation programmes to manufacturing clients
