ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join the IT organization of a leading European parcel logistics group. Its technology supports more million parcels across 40 countries and over 1000 locations. From parcel routing to mobile apps, robust in-house IT sits behind every delivery. You'll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic department that plays a key role in a large Microservices architecture implementation. You'll shape how client-facing applications move to the cloud and help other engineers make the move. The role is hybrid in the Greater Lisbon area: 1–2 office days per week at first, with the option to reduce this to 1–2 visits per month.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll work in a complex cloud migration program focused mainly on AWS. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and architecting solutions for existing client-facing applications as they move to AWS
• Designing and building tools and frameworks to deploy and manage the platforms
• Recommending architecture and process improvements
• Supporting scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backups and restores across environments
• Ensuring critical system security with best-in-class cloud security solutions
• Troubleshooting and solving problems across platform and application domains
• Creating, maintaining and optimizing automated build and deployment pipelines
• Working with the Cloud Infrastructure team on application migrations
• Acting as an enabler for other developers throughout the cloud migration

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• 7+ years of experience, including solid experience as a Cloud Engineer in complex programs
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform
• Experience with AWS CDK
• Advanced knowledge of networking, security and virtualization technologies
• English at B2 level (Upper Intermediate) or above, spoken and written
• Availability to travel abroad
• A strong sense of ownership and pride in your work and its impact
• A team player who is personable, efficient, flexible and communicative

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience with serverless architectures
• A development background in Java
• AWS Certification

Compensation: €2,250 – €2,950/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
