Senior JD Edwards (JDE) ERP Business Analyst

Compensation: $92,000 – $154,000 annually

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week. Candidates must be local to the Spartanburg, SC area.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior JD Edwards (JDE) ERP Business Analyst to serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving improvements to enterprise business processes and ERP applications.

This position will focus on optimizing business operations through JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE), identifying opportunities for process improvement, gathering and translating business requirements, and supporting the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis skills, extensive knowledge of JDE ERP applications and modules, and experience with enterprise integration technologies such as Boomi, DSI, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Experience supporting discrete manufacturing environments and core enterprise value streams is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Business Analysis & Process Optimization

• Serve as the primary liaison between functional business teams, IT, and technical resources to identify business needs and develop effective technology solutions.
• Analyze, optimize, and support business processes across JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) ERP modules.
• Apply knowledge of enterprise value streams, including:
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Plan-to-Produce
• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Evaluate current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements that increase operational effectiveness.
• Develop current-state and future-state process maps to support process improvement and business transformation initiatives.
• Promote ERP best practices and standardized processes across business functions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate solution options, assess business value and return on investment (ROI), and prioritize system enhancements.

Requirements Gathering & Solution Design

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders across multiple departments and enterprise functions.
• Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and supporting technical documentation.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and collaborate with technical teams to develop corresponding technical specifications.
• Partner with developers, integration specialists, and other IT resources to design solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate business requirements and recommend enhancements to ERP applications, workflows, and integrations.
• Maintain accurate requirements documentation, process models, data maps, and related project artifacts.

ERP Integration & Enterprise Applications

• Support the integration of JD Edwards ERP applications with other enterprise systems and business platforms.
• Work with integration technologies and tools, including Boomi, DSI, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
• Collaborate with technical resources to troubleshoot application integration issues and improve data flow between systems.
• Support ERP enhancements, system upgrades, application improvements, and cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Assist with data analysis, data mapping, and validation activities to ensure accurate information exchange across enterprise applications.

Testing, Implementation & Production Support

• Develop test scenarios, test plans, testing strategies, and test scripts based on documented business requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to execute system testing and validate application functionality.
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure technology solutions meet functional and operational requirements.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects, system issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the implementation and deployment of ERP enhancements and new functionality.
• Maintain process documentation, knowledge base articles, and other resources to support ongoing production operations.
• Provide functional support and troubleshooting assistance to business users as needed.

Project Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with business and IT leadership to evaluate project priorities, enhancement requests, and technology roadmaps.
• Support project planning, requirements tracking, documentation, and delivery of business technology initiatives.
• Utilize data analysis to develop actionable insights that improve business performance and operational outcomes.
• Apply ITIL, Agile methodologies, and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles throughout project execution.
• Manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional activities, and meet established project deadlines.
• Pursue professional development and training opportunities to maintain expertise in enterprise applications, business analysis practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, ERP application support, enterprise systems, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) ERP applications, modules, and associated business processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise business processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, and Record-to-Report.
• Experience gathering business requirements and developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and collaborate with development and IT teams.
• Knowledge of ERP integration technologies, including Boomi, DSI, and/or EDI.
• Experience with business process analysis, workflow optimization, and current-state/future-state process mapping.
• Understanding of ITIL practices, Agile methodologies, and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Spartanburg, SC, three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) in a discrete manufacturing environment.
• Experience with DSI applications and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Boomi integration technologies and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
• Business Analyst certifications or JD Edwards-related professional certifications.
• Experience with additional ERP platforms, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database technologies.
• Experience developing detailed Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), technical specifications, and comprehensive testing plans.
• Experience supporting ERP implementation, enhancement, upgrade, or business transformation projects.
• Familiarity with enterprise application architecture, data integration, and cross-platform business processes.
• Experience evaluating project ROI, prioritizing system enhancements, and contributing to enterprise technology roadmaps.
