Software Engineer

Our client is a newly established analytics and consulting firm in Vilnius, backed by two internationally recognised names: a global leader in management consulting and an international investment fund manager. Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to scope and design projects
• Advise on technical choices, and balance decisions across technology and business domains
• Analyse and understand our clients’ businesses to go beyond the obvious with innovative solutions
• Work in a highly cross functional and collaborative environment, alongside our clients, our data and AI analysts, and developers
• Lead technical analysis, technology solution design and build, experimenting and spiking
• Inspire and educate others to use new technologies and techniques

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in software and engineering teams, ideally within consulting or client facing environments
• Team leadership experience and a willingness to work fluidly within our incredibly talented team, flexing your role and adapting across the variety of projects we deliver
• A strong technical competence and recent experience in a hands-on software engineering role, using a mix of Python or Java with associated web frameworks (Django, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot etc), REST API, front-end frameworks (Typescript, vue.js), SQL, and non relational databases
• Experience in data heavy projects with an understanding of how to design stable performant application platforms
• Knowledge of AI engineering, Cloud architectures and DevOps techniques
• A commercial drive with a commitment to creating brilliant, high-quality outcomes
• Experience in, or background knowledge of, private capital/ wealth or the banking sector would be advantageous
• Experience within a consultancy/ project-based environment, with exposure to client-facing activity is preferred
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum study average of 8/10, preferably from a recognised Lithuanian or internationally ranked university.
