Lead Cyber Sec Archt/Engr

As a Lead Cyber Security Architect/Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and implementation of cyber security projects. You will provide technical guidance to the project team while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a smooth integration of new initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in protecting critical assets and information across industries, ensuring the security and resilience of businesses worldwide.

We're seeking a Network and Cloud Security Expert for our team in Brno, Czech Republic.

This individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert in areas listed below, will participate on enterprise-level network security design and implementation projects. Additional duties include mentoring junior team members, as well as assisting with the daily operations of all services relating to perimeter security. 

The Lead Cyber Security Architect/Engineer will focus on providing support for all services managed by the Network Security team. It includes (but not limited to) perimeter, cloud firewalls, proxies, B2B VPN and OT security.       

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to support project team members
• Oversee the execution of cybersecurity initiatives and projects
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
• Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address security requirements
• Lead the response to security incidents promptly and decisively
• Contribute to the creation of security awareness materials for the organization

Ideal Skillset

• Zero Trust technologies – Zscaler highly preferred, at least 3 years of hands on experience with design, implementation and operations of a Zero Trust solution. Integration of Zero Trust solution with other enterprise systems (CMDB, etc.) 
• Firewall technologies - At least 4 years of hands-on experience with firewall administration and gateway configuration, supporting whole firewall lifecycle
• VPN technologies – At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco ASA for VPN solutions and VPN solutions in Azure/AWS cloud
• Cloud networking expertise – At least 4 years of experience with cloud platforms on Azure/AWS, deep knowledge about cloud networking components and network security services used in cloud environment
• Monitoring solutions – At least 3 years of experience with Nagios/Solarwinds on advanced level
• Proficient with scripting languages (Python)

You must have

• 9+ years of direct experience in IT, including 7 years in network security / cyber field.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and best practices
• Excellent communication and ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders

We value

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another related field
• Relevant certifications are highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
