At Hitachi Energy's Capacitors business in Ludvika, we are looking for a Local Product Manager who will play a key role in ensuring our products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and market demands across Europe.
In this role, you will be the vital link between Global Product Management, feeder factories, sales teams, engineering, and customers. You will drive local implementation of product strategies, support business growth, and ensure our portfolio remains competitive, compliant, and aligned with evolving customer needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic international environment while contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions. This role is based in Ludvika, Sweden, and requires frequent presence at the office due to the nature of the role.
How you’ll make an impact
- Drive the local execution of global product strategies, product changes, and portfolio decisions, ensuring alignment across engineering, quality, operations, and sales.
- Act as the primary local product expert, supporting customer qualifications, homologations, technical risk reviews, and complex tender activities across the European market.
- Gather and translate customer, market, and regulatory insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen the product portfolio and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with applicable European standards, sustainability requirements, and product regulations while supporting product launches and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate closely with Global Product Management, feeder factories, and cross-functional teams to enhance portfolio performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience within power systems, power quality, capacitors, or high-voltage equipment is an advantage.
- Experience from product management, technical sales, application engineering, or a similar customer- or product-oriented role is beneficial, but not a requirement.
- You have a commercial mindset and an interest in understanding customer and market needs, combined with the ability to work with technical topics.
- Familiarity with the European energy market, customer qualification processes, standards, or regulatory requirements is considered an advantage.
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and building relationships with stakeholders across different functions, cultures, and locations.
- You are structured, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
