HFM - Payments Fraud Monitoring Analyst (24/7 Shift Rotation) in Larnaca

Job Description

We are committed to innovation, transparency, and excellence in the financial markets.  As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Payments Fraud Analyst  to join our team.  Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of suspicious payment cases, including real-time detection, deep-dive analysis, restrictive actions, and post-incident monitoring.
• Analyse real time reports to identify gateway faults, integration vulnerabilities, and prevent systemic abuse (such as bonus abuse or glitch exploitation).
• Analyse large datasets to detect irregular transaction patterns, velocity spikes, and abnormal funding behaviours indicative of fraud.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of investigation procedures for specific fraud typologies.
• Actively contribute to the development of new risk parameters and the continuous improvement of existing fraud detection models to reduce false positives.

Requirements

• BA/BSc in Finance or Economics.
• Analytical and attention to details.
• Basic understanding of DAX language for the handling of data models.
• Strong knowledge in Excel/Google sheets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• AML, anti-fraud, risk-management experience is a huge plus.
• Certified Fraud Examiner Seminars or Certification would be a strong advantage.
