About the Position
Guggenheim is seeking an exceptional Senior Network Voice Engineer to join its Platform Services team. Reporting to the Director, Network Services, this person will join a highly collaborative & dynamic team responsible for voice, network & collaboration systems. In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering unified superior user experience. The successful candidate will have deep technical experience across infrastructure & cloud technology layers and be comfortable interacting with all levels of staff in a financial services environment.
The Network Voice Engineer role presents an opportunity to join a team designing and implementing cutting edge technology in support of an enterprise-wide digital transformation. Guggenheim Securities Platform Services team provides critical IT services and technology which enable the firm to deliver value to our clients while supporting business expansion. This position is located in the Guggenheim Securities New York office.
Specific Responsibilities Include
Unified Communications Integration
- Microsoft Teams Calling with operator connect platform administration
- Direct Routing design and deployment
- Design & programming of auto attendants, call queues, dial plans, hunt groups, etc
- Development of call quality dashboard (CQD), call analytics, KPI’s for platform reporting
- E.911 / dynamic emergency calling compliance
- Management of teams calling licenses, calling plans, carrier invoicing, billing
- Teams calling integration with physical devices such as handsets, intercoms & AV devices
- Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) device deployment and management
- Training service desk to complete level 1 requests and first line troubleshooting
Trader Voice
- Hands-on experience with IPC Unigy / Unigy 360 turret systems
- Proficiency with Unigy Management System (UMS) for provisioning, configuration, and administration
- Experience with IPC Nexus and Media Manager for session border and media handling
- Familiarity with IPC Connexus cloud connectivity services
- Turret hardware support: Pulse, iQ/MAX Edge, and softphone/Unigy Soft Client deployments
- MAC (Move/Add/Change) work: line assignments, speed dials, hoot-and-holler, intercom, ring-down circuits
Collaboration
- Deployment, operation, and lifecycle support of audiovisual systems across the firms conference rooms, huddle spaces, boardrooms, and event/town-hall spaces
- Integrate rooms with unified communications platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex)
- Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation for AV incidents; own root-cause analysis and permanent fixes
- Monitor room health, track asset inventory, develop preventive-maintenance schedules
- Track KPIs: room uptime, mean-time-to-resolve, meeting-join success rate, user satisfaction
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years hands-on supporting enterprise voice deployments in a financial services environment
- Routing & switching concepts & protocols: BGP, VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP, QOS
- Wireless: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be (Wi-Fi 6E/7), controller-based WLAN (Meraki)
- Firewall concepts including VPN (IPsec, SSL), ACLs, 802.1X, NAC
- Vendor and carrier management with escalation experience
- Tier 2/3 incident troubleshooting; on-call rotation
- Packet analysis: Wireshark (SIP/RTP dissectors), tcpdump
- Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have
- End-user–facing engagement & professionalism
- Ability to work cross-functionally with security, identity, business, and app teams
- Experience with ITIL principles using Service Now
- Clear technical documentation and stakeholder communication
Work Location
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
Salary (For states requiring salary range)
- Annual base salary of $150,000.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
