About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, delivery pipeline, and AWS infrastructure behind a real-money skill gaming platform. Your first priority will be completing the move from manual Jenkins deployments to automated releases on GitHub Actions and Terraform-managed ECS. This is a hands-on senior role on a small team with real ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the GitHub Actions and Terraform ECS deployment pipeline, including approvals, migration gates, and rollback.Make zero-downtime database migrations the default for a PostgreSQL-backed Django system that handles payments.

• Manage the Terraform estate and a multi-account AWS Organization, bringing all resources under code.

• Rebuild alerting around SLOs, own observability tooling, and lead incident response and postmortems.

• Own secrets, certificates, patching, and security reviews required by gaming and payments partners.

• Optimize AWS spend and report on it monthly.

• Extend existing AI agents to automate operational toil, and document runbooks for the team.

What We’re Looking For​​​​

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles, running production workloads on AWS and owning the Terraform behind them.

• Proven experience automating a manual release process.

• Background in systems where downtime has financial or regulatory impact (payments, fintech, gaming, or similar).

• Enough Python and Django knowledge to understand how migrations and workers affect deployments.

• Practical experience defining SLOs, reducing alert noise, and building useful dashboards.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Significant professional experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) in coding and operations, in addition to a strong DevOps skillset.

Nice to Have

• Advanced GitHub Actions (reusable workflows, OIDC to AWS).

• Blue/green or canary deployments.

• Jenkins to GitHub Actions migration experience.

• Unity or mobile game build pipelines.

• Regulated real-money products (KYC, geolocation).

• FinOps experience with measurable cost reductions.
