The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX Corporation is a leader in aerospace and defense, delivering technologies and solutions that protect and connect the world. Enterprise Services focuses on driving innovation and operational excellence across the organization. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage and drive the strategy, execution, and delivery of enterprise applications focused on quality, CORE methodologies, and road mapping.
The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications will lead strategy, execution, and lifecycle management of enterprise quality systems used across RTX, including COSMIC CORE, process analysis tools, Sharpcloud, ETQ, and the M-Files quality management system. This product owner and service leader will play a critical role in ensuring these applications support the company’s strategic objectives, drive operational excellence, and align with business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and improving organizations, partnering with the business to secure funding for initiatives, and be comfortable managing a $5M budget.
What You Will Do:
-
Lead development, optimization, and governance of quality systems including ETQ Reliance, M-Files, Sharpcloud, and related process-automation platforms.
-
Develop and maintain enterprise roadmaps for digital quality and CORE tools, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and future organizational needs.
-
Oversee cross-functional digital initiatives that modernize quality workflows, integrate applications, enhance visibility, and support analytics-driven decision-making.
-
Partner with Quality and CORE to design tools, dashboards, and interfaces that standardize processes and improve data availability.
-
Lead and influence a high-performing technical team; foster innovation and collaboration across functions.
-
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, and regulatory requirements through robust QMS capabilities, internal controls, audit readiness, and digital QMS enhancements.
-
Manage budgets, prioritize investments, and secure funding to support transformation initiatives.
-
Drive adoption of CORE methodologies, Lean principles, and continuous improvement practices across digital quality applications.
-
Stay current on emerging technologies and advocate for solutions that enhance quality performance, supplier engagement, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
-
8+ years leading enterprise applications, quality systems, or engineering tools in highly regulated environments.
-
Experience developing, configuring, or administering ETQ, M-Files, Sharpcloud, or similar systems with demonstrated leadership of technical teams supporting digital tools, automation, dashboards, or workflow systems.
-
Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO auditing practices, and enterprise QMS requirements with expertise in analytics and automation tools such as Power BI/Tableau, SharePoint, APIs, scripting, or workflow automation.
-
Ability to collaborate across organizations and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
RTX CORE or Six Sigma certification.
-
Aerospace or defense industry experience.
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will be able to move comfortably between product strategy and technical execution. They can discuss priorities and business outcomes with senior stakeholders, then work directly with an Adaptive developer to evaluate model design, investigate a calculation issue, challenge an overly complex solution, or independently navigate the backend to determine what is happening.
This is not a traditional functional Product Owner role with light Adaptive exposure. We are looking for someone with genuine Adaptive technical depth who can provide strong product ownership while also serving as a technically credible leader for the platform.
