Position Overview

As a Senior Sponsored Ads Strategist, you will own the advertising strategy for our most strategic manufacturer partners on Amazon and other marketplaces. You will translate business goals into multi-channel media plans, guide account teams and clients toward high-impact decisions, and serve as a subject matter expert on retail media. You will also mentor team members and help shape how we approach strategy, measurement, and tooling.

The ideal candidate is confident, self-motivated, and a clear communicator who can influence stakeholders at every level. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and exercise sound discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

Strategy and planning

• Partner with account teams and client leadership to understand business objectives, then build and own multi-quarter, full-funnel media strategies that ladder up to those goals.
• Lead strategic planning for medium-to-large, complex clients, including budget allocation across ad types, channels, and retailers.
• Audit historical performance and research the competitive and keyword landscape to set go-forward strategy, targeting, and testing roadmaps.
• Develop forecasts, scenario plans, and measurement frameworks that connect ad performance to total business impact (brand, category, and competitive sales data).

Optimization and performance

• Direct proactive, ongoing analysis and optimization of campaigns, turning insights into prioritized actions that continually maximize performance.
• Own spend pacing and set monthly campaign-level budgets, making timely adjustments to stay aligned with agreed budgets.
• Evaluate and adopt research, automation, and execution platforms to drive efficiency and scale.

Client and stakeholder leadership

• Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, presenting performance, insights, and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with internal marketing/sales teams, manufacturers, and retailer representatives to identify challenges and drive effective, timely solutions.
• Own all sponsored ads follow-ups and deliverables, ensuring timely, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
• Manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
