Main challenge
We are looking for a Concept Artist to support the pre-production and visual development of our core game titles, creating concepts and artistic references that help align production teams around a clear visual direction. The role focuses on projects inspired by the visual standards of Disney Speedstorm and Asphalt 9.
What it means on a daily basis
- Visual Concept Generation: Create character designs and illustrations, including line art and 3D blockouts, in line with project requirements and the distinct visual styles of Hyperdrive, Asphalt, and Disney.
- Creative Ideation: Generate and develop artistic ideas while maintaining each game's unique visual identity.
- Collaborative Design: Collaborate with fellow artists and designers to develop and enhance the game's visual style.
- Feedback Integration: Work under the Studio Art Director's guidance, iterate on designs based on feedback, and deliver work in line with project goals and timelines.
- Art Asset Planning: Plan the creation of art assets for characters, environments, and props, and clearly communicate the approach and requirements to the relevant team members.
What success will look like
After 3 months, you will have built a strong understanding of the projects visual directions and production workflows. After 6 months, you will independently deliver concepts and references that support production decisions. You will also contribute consistently to the evolution of the games' visual identity and support effective collaboration across art and design teams.
Who you would be working with
You will report to the Studio Art Director and work closely with concept artists, artists, designers, and production teams. Your concepts and visual references will support local and international collaborators throughout the production process.
Your recruitment journey
- HR Screen Call: An initial conversation with our HR team.
- First Interview: A 20-minute interview with the Hiring Manager to discuss your previous projects and experience.
- Test: You will have one week to complete a practical test.
- Second Interview: A discussion with the Hiring Manager to review your test, explore your approach in more detail, and share feedback.
- Final Interview: A meeting with the Studio Manager to discuss alignment and answer any remaining questions.
