About Fulfillment IQ (FIQ)
Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation company that helps brands, retailers, and 3PLs design, build, and scale high-performance logistics operations.
We work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology where we solve complex, real-world problems across warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain execution.
Our teams combine deep domain expertise with strong technical capability, delivering outcomes through consulting, systems implementation, and proprietary platforms that accelerate time-to-value and reduce delivery risk.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer in FIQ’s Corporate Technology team, you will own the day-to-day administration of the infrastructure that runs FIQ’s internal platforms and applications. You will provision and maintain cloud resources, support new application deployments end to end, and keep our Linux-based environments secure, reliable, and well documented.
This is a new, hands-on individual contributor role based in our Bangalore office. You will start by working closely with the Head of Corporate Technology and the Corporate Technology team to learn our systems, and over time you will also partner with FIQ’s Technology Delivery team. We welcome candidates with either a Microsoft Azure or a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) background.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision and administer infrastructure for new and existing applications, including DNS configuration, SSL/TLS certificates, and Kubernetes (AKS) resources.
- Administer and maintain Linux (Ubuntu) servers, including patching, hardening, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine administration and operational tasks.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for reliable, automated deployments.
- Manage cloud resources on Azure and/or GCP using infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep), with a focus on security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day infrastructure support to internal teams; troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Monitor system health and application performance using observability tools (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.).
- Support ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliance activities by providing evidence, implementing controls, and following security standards.
- Document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on Linux administration experience, preferably Ubuntu. This is essential: all of our servers are Linux-based.
- Strong Bash scripting skills; working with the Linux command line should feel natural to you.
- Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), matching the certification you hold.
- Working knowledge of DNS, SSL/TLS certificate management, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (Docker, AKS or GKE).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep).
- Ability to work from the Bangalore office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Mandatory Certifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the following active certifications, supported by hands-on experience on the same cloud platform:
Microsoft Azure
- AZ-104: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, OR
- AZ-305: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, OR an equivalent Google Cloud Professional certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Hands-on experience across both Azure and GCP.
- Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell in addition to Bash.
- Exposure to security automation, secrets management, and DevSecOps practices.
- Prior experience supporting ISO 27001 or SOC2 audits.
Month-to-Month Activities (Summary)
- Months 1–2: Learn FIQ’s systems and environments alongside the Corporate Technology team; take ownership of routine provisioning and infrastructure support requests.
- Months 3–4: Automate recurring administration tasks, improve monitoring and alerting, and support application deployments.
- Months 5–6: Support security reviews and compliance activities, patch and harden systems, and prepare for disaster recovery drills.
- Months 7–9: Refine infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines; begin partnering with the Technology Delivery team on deployments.
- Months 10–12: Review cloud costs and optimisation opportunities, and update documentation, runbooks, and compliance evidence.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
