Bright people. Hard problems. Serious growth momentum.

Recognized as a Thriving Place to Work by Culture 100 Awards,
Flare is an identity-first cyber threat intelligence company. Security teams aren't short on alerts; they're short on clarity about which threat actually matters. Our job is to find that threat first and help fix it before it becomes a breach. Right now, that threat is identity exposure: attackers aren't just breaking through firewalls anymore, they're logging in with stolen credentials, and AI is making them faster. Flare monitors the dark and clear web to uncover exposed identities and other high-risk external threats before cybercriminals can use them. As the threat that matters shifts, we shift with it.

TL;DR: We're passionate people on a mission to find the threats that matter most, and help companies act before attackers can.

About the role

Flare is about 160 people across North America and Europe, and growing. IT has so far been shared between our Security and Platform teams. We are now centralizing it into a dedicated function within Security, and hiring our first full-time IT Systems Administrator to run it day to day.

This is a hands-on role. You will take over IT support and administration from the teams who handle it today, document how things are done, and automate what repeats. You will report to the CISO and work with our AI Ops team on automating common requests.

Our environment: JumpCloud for identity and device management, Google Workspace with some Microsoft 365, mostly macOS laptops with some Linux and Windows, and Slack.

Your purpose and impact:

Your mission is to make sure every Flarian has the devices, access and tools they need to do their job, from their first day to their last. You will:

• Provide day-to-day IT support to Flarians in North America and Europe
• Administer our identity, device and productivity systems: accounts, access, groups, policies and device configuration
• Provision, configure and replace laptops
• Run onboarding and offboarding, so new Flarians are ready on day one and access is removed on their last day
• Manage software licences
• Handle requests through our Slack-based ticketing system
• Document recurring tasks and fixes so Flarians can help themselves
• Script and automate repetitive tasks, and work with the AI Ops team on an AI agent that answers common requests
• Apply the access and device controls defined with the Security team

You’ll be a perfect fit if you are/have:

• Hands-on experience as a systems administrator or IT support specialist, supporting end users directly
• Experience administering JumpCloud or a comparable identity and device management platform (e.g. Okta, Jamf, Kandji, Intune)
• Google Workspace administration experience
• Strong macOS support skills, and working knowledge of Windows and Linux
• Experience with onboarding and offboarding, including access removal
• Scripting skills for administration tasks (Bash, Python or PowerShell)
• Clear written communication, including documentation for non-technical colleagues
• Nice to have: cybersecurity experience, ticketing or IT service management tools, support automation or AI tools, Microsoft 365 administration, or a SOC 2 / ISO 27001 environment
• Bilingual: French and English to be able to work effectively with people outside of the province of Quebec

This role is part of a bilingual work environment in Québec - fluency in both languages is key to working together. You’ll be expected to work remotely with occasional visits to our Montreal office. Work hours need to cover part of the European business day to support Europe-based Flarians.

What it’s like to be a Flarian:

You'll join a company that puts people first and believes strong teams are built on mutual trust, respect, and sustainable ways of working. You’ll get:

• Competitive salary
• Annual bonus plan
• Stock options
• Complete benefits program (health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage)
• Flexible paid time off
• Fun company events, such as our annual Flamping

Don't meet every single requirement? Studies show women and people of color are less likely to apply unless they check every box. At Flare, we're building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't line up perfectly, apply anyway.

About AI:

Flare embraces AI, and we want to be transparent about how it fits into our hiring process.

What we ask of you:

• Permitted: Using AI is okay, just be transparent with us about it.
• Not permitted: Using AI assistance during live interviews. We want to get to know you, not an AI-assisted version of you.

What you can expect from us:

• We may use tools to identify applications that best match role requirements, which helps our team decide which ones to review first.
• Gemini takes notes during interviews so we can give you our full attention. If you'd prefer we don't use it, let us know and we'll take notes manually.
• AI never makes or replaces hiring decisions. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. We use these tools in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws, and your data is not used to train AI models.
