Senior Product Designer, Restaurant Partner Self-Service (Remote)

Title: Senior Product Designer, Restaurant Partner Self-Service (Remote) Location: Boston, MA

As Senior Product Designer on the Supplier Self-Service pod, you'll own the experience that gives restaurant partners the tools to run and grow their ezCater business without needing to go through an internal team. Every action a supplier can confidently take on their own — updating a menu, adjusting availability, resolving an issue, understanding their performance — is one less dependency on ops and one more sign of a healthy, scalable supply base. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Supply Operations to identify which supplier actions are highest-friction or highest-volume today, and design the self-service paths that replace manual, one-off handling with tools suppliers can trust and use independently.

What You'll Do: 

• Own the supplier self-service experience end to end, designing across the tools and flows that let restaurant partners manage their menus, availability, business info, performance, and issue resolution without needing to contact ezCater directly.
• Partner with Product, Analytics, UX Research, and Supply Operations to identify which supplier actions still require internal intervention, and design the self-service alternative — deciding when a better UI solves the problem and when it requires new functionality, policy changes, or a structural rethink.
• Design for the full range of supplier sophistication, from single-location independent restaurants to multi-location and enterprise partners, ensuring self-service tools scale cleanly rather than serving only the simplest cases.
• Raise the bar on interaction, systems, and visual design as you craft user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Contribute to and advocate for our design system so supplier-facing tools feel consistent, scalable, and accessible across every touchpoint a partner uses to manage their business.
• Facilitate alignment across disciplines, running workshops, critiques, and working sessions that help Product, Engineering, and Supply Operations converge on which self-service investments will most reduce internal dependency and strengthen supply.
• Use AI-powered tools to move faster across the design process, from early prototyping to research synthesis, and help raise the bar for how the broader team adopts them.

What You Have: 

• 5+ years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, interaction designer, or similar role, with accompanying experience in visual/graphic design.
• Comfort designing systems, not just screens—understanding how individual decisions scale across complex customer journeys, edge cases, and future functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, frame ambiguous problems, and influence product direction—not just execute against predefined requirements.
• A track record of shaping what teams work on, not just how it looks — helping teams to solve clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
• A positive attitude and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback, as well as regularly seeking feedback on your own performance.
• Proficiency with the Figma suite, Claude design, and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
• A detailed portfolio that showcases:
• How your process moves from discovery through launch and iteration.
• The customer and business impact of your work.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills that show you can explain complex flows and tradeoffs in ways that resonate with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Well-developed collaboration and facilitation skills. You're as thoughtful about how teams work together as you are about the pixels.
• A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
• Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other events, when applicable.

Bonus points if you have: 

• Experience designing for two-sided marketplaces, especially on the supply or partner-facing side.
• Experience designing account management, admin, or back-office tools for business users (not just consumer-facing products).
• Experience in the restaurant, catering, delivery, or gig space, particularly from the merchant or partner perspective.
• Experience with service design, journey mapping, or complex operational workflows that cross multiple teams and tools.
• Experience working in environments where reducing operational/support load is a core design metric.
• Familiarity with approaches like Jobs To Be Done, systems thinking, or other frameworks for structuring complex problem spaces.

The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $146,000–$187,000 annually.*
