Short Summary:
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of our products by embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product increments every sprint.
Responsibilities:
- Plan testing activities during backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across multiple layers.
- Execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Continuously improve the automation framework.
- Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in production deployments and validate critical user journeys.
- Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and blockers to stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of AI across quality engineering practices.
- Mentor team members on quality engineering best practices.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4–6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on automation.
- Strong experience in backend automation testing, including APIs and integrations.
- Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of Docker and modern engineering practices.
- Understanding of databases and SQL.
- Experience with web/UI automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
- Strong practical experience using AI tools in engineering workflows.
