Short Summary:
Exa is building a search engine for the AI era, having raised a $250M Series C. We are looking for a Director of Communications to develop the public voice of Exa and its leaders, focusing on ghostwriting and media strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development and expression of our leaders' public points of view: essays, tweets, op-eds, interviews, and the editorial calendar.
- Manage a speaking program, including sourcing and prepping for conferences and panels.
- Oversee media strategy and results, managing our agency and building in-house functions.
- Control company social presence and editorial cadence.
- Own the narrative for company announcements and milestones.
- Prepare crisis and issues readiness plans.
- Utilize AI in research and drafting while maintaining human authenticity.
Requirement:
- 8+ years in communications, PR, or editorial roles, preferably in a high-growth technology company.
- Exceptional writing craft, particularly in ghostwriting.
- Proven track record in building executive public profiles and securing speaking placements.
- Experience managing an agency effectively.
- Technical literacy to write credibly about AI and related topics.
