Content Creator

OUR STORY

From an idea in one man's garage to an essential in every man's shower, Every Man Jack was created to give men everywhere clean, effective personal care that stands up to any adventure.
Born in 2007 at the base of Mt. Tam, near the great redwood forests of Northern California, Every Man Jack was founded to fill a gap in the men's care space. To remove the bravado and harsh chemicals that choked the industry, and focus instead on simple, clean products accessible to regular guys.
That belief is right in our name: the phrase “Every Man Jack” traces its origins back several centuries, when it meant “everybody without exception.”
Today it still means quality within reach. It stands for the man who fixes what's broken, who builds, and who welcomes the unknown. We're for the man whose routine belongs on the trail, in the surf, and under open skies. He's ready for the next story worth remembering.
WHAT WE DO

Every Man Jack, a B Corp Certified Company, is a leader in the natural men's grooming space, with a presence across major national retailers like Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Amazon.
We've experienced significant growth over the past several years and continue to add top talent to our growing roster.
Considering a host of recent initiatives, significant retail distribution opportunities, and high growth e-commerce initiatives, there is no shortage of exciting projects for the Every Man Jack team.

THE ROLE: Content Creator

Every Man Jack is looking for a Content Creator who spots the trend, pitches the idea, and has the finished video live within hours. You are a key driver of our cultural relevance and share of voice goals, creating organic and paid social content that stops our consumer mid-scroll and gets him talking.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Social Media, you will work closely with our Marketing and Creative teams to bring our For Men Who Put in the Work platform to life across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms. You live inside the feed of our consumer, the millennial man who follows sports, health and wellness, men’s grooming and pop culture. You listen closely to what he, our competitors, and the category are saying, and you are comfortable in front of the camera. You are creative, fast, and platform-native, and you are energized by making things, not just planning them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ideation and Concepting

• Develop original ideas for organic and paid social that spark conversation and drive share of voice and cultural relevance
• Write hooks, scripts, and storyboards that earn attention in the first three seconds
• Partner with the Sr. Manager, Social Media and Content Director to turn cultural moments into content quickly

Production and Editing

• Shoot and edit short-form video, including graphics, text overlays, sound, and transitions
• Work with the Content Director and Creative team on larger productions, and handle quick-turn, in-app content independently
• Repurpose creator, ambassador, and campaign footage into platform-ready content, and appear on camera when the content calls for it

Organic and Paid Social

• Build platform-native, on-voice content for organic channels, and paid assets designed to perform with strong hooks and variations for testing
• Partner with Performance Marketing and agencies to review results and iterate on creative

Trends and Social Listening

• Know our consumer’s algorithm: what he watches, saves, shares, and scrolls past across sports, health and wellness, men’s grooming, and pop culture
• Conduct social listening across our brand, competitors, and the category, and bring back insights into the weekly trend beat meeting to shape what we create
• Spot a trend early, decide if EMJ has a right to play, and turn it into finished content quickly

THE CANDIDATE:

You are a true creative who loves social. Scrolling the feed energizes you, you see a trend before it peaks, and you have the craft to turn it into finished content within hours.

You know our consumer because his world is your world: the games, the gym, the grooming routine, the memes. That shows up in every hook, caption, and cut, and you are comfortable being the face of it when the moment calls for it. You are confident pitching ideas out loud, you speak up in brainstorms, and you make the people around you sharper. You can work from a blank page or a tight brief.

This is an opportunity for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact from day one.

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3-5 years of experience creating short-form video content for a consumer brand, agency, or your own platform, with a portfolio that shows work that performs
• Deeply immersed in the feed of the millennial male: sports, health and wellness, men’s grooming, and pop culture. You know what he is watching and what will stop him in his scroll
• Track record of creating content that drives comments, shares, and conversation, not just views
• Proven ability to originate ideas from scratch and execute against a brief, with the confidence to pitch, defend, and build on ideas in group brainstorms
• Strong shooting and editing skills (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut or equivalent) and comfort producing in-app
• Comfortable and confident on camera, and willing to appear in brand content
• Experience creating for both organic and paid social, with a working understanding of what drives performance and ROAS
• Deep fluency in TikTok and Instagram, including formats, trends, and how each algorithm rewards content
• Experience with social listening tools (Sprout, Pinpoint, or equivalent), with the ability to turn what you see into insights that shape content
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to protect and write in a distinct brand voice
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift
• Collaborative by nature: comfortable taking direction, giving feedback, and working across Social, Creative, Paid and Brand
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field, or equivalent experience
