About this opportunity:
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way organizations develop software, operate infrastructure, and defend against cyber threats. As AI agents become increasingly embedded in enterprise environments, new challenges emerge around security, governance, identity management, observability, and risk control. This Master's thesis offers a unique opportunity to explore how AI agents can be securely deployed, governed, and scaled within large organizations. Working within Ericsson's Production System Security team, you will investigate real-world challenges at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and secure digital transformation while contributing to the future of enterprise AI adoption.
What you will do:
As part of this thesis, you will research and analyze security challenges and opportunities related to AI-driven environments. Depending on your interests, you may focus on areas such as AI-orchestrated attack detection and response, security guardrails for autonomous agents, identity and authorization models, monitoring agent behavior, vulnerability detection and remediation, predictive cybersecurity, or Zero Trust architectures for AI-enabled ecosystems. You will evaluate emerging technologies, investigate industry best practices, and develop recommendations for secure and scalable AI adoption in enterprise settings.
The skills you bring:
- We are looking for Master's students with a strong interest in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology
- Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Information Security, Distributed Systems, or a related field
- Solid understanding of security principles
- Excitement for exploring complex technical challenges through research and analysis
- Curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for emerging technologies will help you succeed in this thesis and contribute valuable insights to the evolving field of secure AI
