We design premium, stepless, and automatic shifting solutions used in e-bikes around the world. As an ingredient brand, we work closely with bicycle manufacturers, bike-as-a-service providers, and last-mile delivery partners to shape the future of urban mobility.
Our vision is bold: enviolo powered bikes on every street, in every city, every day.
We believe in authentic relationships, operational excellence, and building healthier, more sustainable urban communities. Our culture is built on Passion, Loyalty, Joyfulness, and Authenticity, and we live those values every day.
Your Role
As Product Manager Mechanics, you lead enviolo in exploring and executing new product opportunities across our CVP gear hub portfolio and in the field of CVP motor integration cooperations. Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you play a central role in shaping enviolo's product roadmap and act as the entry point for technical collaboration and integration with both OEM customers and other e-bike component makers.
You own Phase 0 of our product development process — answering the “WHY” and “WHAT” behind customer and product requirements, and formalizing these into product scopes and business cases. Through development phases 1-4, you remain a primary stakeholder in phase gate reviews, working closely with Program Management, Test & Validation, and Engineering to safeguard the original product requirements as the team answers the “HOW.”
This role is a great fit if you have strong experience in the bicycle industry and a deep understanding of bicycle transmission systems. You'll co-develop a detailed overview of industry trends, competitive and complementary product developments, and the future of personal e-mobility, using this knowledge to guide enviolo's long-term product and partnership strategy. You'll also lead internal communications when new mechanical products launch, and act as the technical sales support for our commercial team to help exceed our customers' expectations.
In your day-to-day work, you collaborate closely with Business Development, Brand Experience, Sustainability, Operations, and Engineering to capture new customer requirements and translate them into new product scopes. This role calls for a user-first mentality, a strong eye for detail, an analytic mindset, and robust stakeholder management skills backed by solid data.
What You'll Be Doing
Product Roadmap & Strategy
- Being a key stakeholder developing a multi-year product roadmap that captures the imagination of our OEM customers, bicycle retailers and cyclists using Enviolo products.
- Ensure the internal organization is updated with the long-term product vision through the 5-year product strategy and Product & Technology roadmap.
- Creation of new product deliverables, including business cases and product scope documents.
- Creation of and publication of all technical customer facing documentation necessary to specify, assemble and service all products in the portfolio.
Industry & Partner Intelligence
- Act as the first point of contact for drivetrain integration partners and keep enviolo connected and aligned across the E-bike development landscape.
- Develop and maintain all up-to-date E-bike drivetrain compatibility documentation.
- Build a detailed understanding of the long-term competitive landscape (other e-bike gear manufacturers) and the complementary product landscape (motor, drivetrain, and other component manufacturers).
Commercial & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as technical sales support for the Business Development team on complex technical issues, helping ensure an excellent customer sales experience.
- Work closely with Business Development peers to shape key inputs for new product projects.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams in case of customer facing quality concerns.
- Lead internal product communications and hand-over to the relevant teams when new physical products are introduced.
- Collaborate with and empower project members without formal management authority in a cross-functional environment.
What We're Looking For
You are someone who:
- Brings a user-first mentality with a strong eye for detail and an analytic mindset.
- Has robust stakeholder management skills and grounds arguments in solid data.
- Is a proactive, ‘no excuses’ problem solver, able to mobilize and motivate resources across and outside the organization.
- Can rapidly establish trust through authentic communication and is a strong team player.
- Communicates clearly, with excellent presentation skills (oral and written).
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years' experience in key product-related roles in high-growth, disruptive companies, preferably in cycling or urban mobility.
- Proven experience developing complex mechanical products, with a deep understanding of bicycle transmission systems.
- Proven experience bringing a data-driven approach to decision making, in day-to-day management and strategic trade-offs alike.
- Proven experience working with physical mechanical components, with sufficient hands-on skills to work on e-bikes in a workshop environment.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
Practical Requirements
- Based in or willing to work from Amsterdam, NL.
- Willingness to travel to customers, suppliers and industry events.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or German skills are a plus.
What We Offer You
- A full-time Product Manager role with clear responsibilities and ownership.
- Plenty of opportunities to shape enviolo's product roadmap across the full development lifecycle.
- Exposure to product management in an international organization.
- Competitive compensation aligned with the role and contract type.
