About ERP and the Project

Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is a tribally led federal energy-resilience contractor building the contingent team for the USAG Ansbach - Storck Barracks Smart Microgrid in Bavaria, Germany. The 730-day project integrates two 1 MW diesel generators, 2 MW / 4 MWh battery energy storage, photovoltaic generation, 20 kV medium-voltage distribution, fuel systems, protection, SCADA/microgrid controls, fiber communications, an underground interconnection corridor and full testing, training and commissioning.

Position Summary

Develop the contract-required fire-alarm design and submittals under a valid DIN 14675 designer certification.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare code-compliant layouts, zoning, device addressing, cause-and-effect/operation matrix, battery and voltage-drop calculations and coordinated wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate FACU/BMZ, monitoring, annunciation, power, communications, equipment and Host Nation interfaces.
  • Respond to QFPE, CQC, Government and AHJ comments and maintain approved/as-built design records.
  • Support software configuration, testing, training, O&M and closeout documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a fire alarm system designer under DIN 14675.
  • Demonstrated VDE 0833/DIN VDE 0100 design experience.
  • English capability sufficient for contract submittals and Government coordination.
  • German-language capability and Germany-local credential/practice knowledge appropriate to the duties; English required for Government-facing functions.

Preferred Qualifications

German/English bilingual; military installation work; microgrid/generator/BESS facility experience.

Germany Work Authorization, Location and Access

  • Candidate must possess unrestricted EU/EEA/Swiss labor-market access or other valid German work authorization before starting.
  • Lawful Germany work authorization/status and installation access are required before in-country duties.
  • Germany-qualified fire-alarm contractor or approved first-tier design source.
  • No field work may begin until required Government personnel approval, installation access/badging, safety orientation, role designation/appointment, system/data permissions and work-front release are complete.

Field, Travel and Employment Conditions

  • Work arrangement: GERMANY-BASED HYBRID; minimum presence: Germany-based design coordination with Storck Barracks surveys and required site support.
  • Project-based and contingent upon award/NTP, funding, final staffing authorization, qualification verification, Government approval where applicable, employer-of-record completion and installation access.
  • Must support approved work hours, outages, testing windows, alternate shifts, weekends or German holidays when the schedule and lawful working-time controls require.
  • Must comply with ERP/prime direction, EM 385-1-1, German safety and labor requirements, quality controls, CUI/FCI and photography/device restrictions, accurate timekeeping and project conduct rules.
