Senior BI Analyst / Power Platform SME

We are seeking a Senior BI Analyst and Microsoft Power Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Strategy and Operations team. In this senior-level role, you will lead the architecture, design, and deployment of complex business intelligence reporting and low-code solutions. A critical responsibility will be designing and building AI-ready semantic models, ensuring all new solutions are scalable for enterprise artificial intelligence initiatives. This is a highly collaborative role that bridges advanced data engineering with strategic business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy advanced data visualizations and reporting solutions leveraging the full Microsoft Power Platform Suite.
- Design and build complex, AI-ready semantic models to ensure business intelligence foundations are optimized for future AI and automation scaling.
- Create custom business applications and automated workflows to streamline operational and strategic processes.
- Perform advanced SQL database development, including writing complex queries, building robust tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Execute complex data source integrations from disparate corporate databases and external platforms.
- Collaborate with business leaders within strategy and operations to translate raw data into actionable executive insights.
This contract to permanent position is hybrid (onsite 1x per week in Reston VA) and requires a final round F2F interview in Reston VA.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Senior Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles.
- Education: Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
- Power Platform Mastery: Hands-on expertise across the Power Platform Suite, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
- Technical Systems: Strong proficiency with MicroStrategy for enterprise reporting.
- Databases & SQL: Advanced relational database skills with expert-level SQL querying and database modeling capabilities.
- Data Integration: Proven track record with deep data source integration across varying schemas and environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Plus)
- AI & Analytics: Direct experience implementing AI chatbots integrated with Power BI.
- Modern Data Stack: Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and cloud data engineering.
- Industry Experience: Professional background within the Healthcare Payor space.
- Cloud Platforms: Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) data ecosystems.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, or Azure Data Engineer).
