Senior Healthcare Financial Data Analyst (Population Health & ROI Analytics)
Elite Technical is seeking a high-caliber, client-facing Senior Financial Data Analyst to join our actuarial and clinical analytics team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex health data and client-facing business strategy. Your primary mission is to extract, analyze, and present the financial costs and savings generated by our clients Population Health and Medical Management programs.
This is not an IT, ETL, or data-engineering role. This is a highly strategic, consultative analytics position centered on Client ROI Analysis. For example, when major insurance payers pays our client a fee for our services, you will be the core analytics engine responsible for extracting clinical financial data points via SQL, calculating true program ROI, and building the high-fidelity reports and dashboards that prove our monetary savings value to keep and grow our enterprise business.
Key Responsibilities
- SQL Data Extraction: Write complex, expert-level SQL queries to mine healthcare utilization, claims, and clinical management data points from internal databases.
- ROI & Financial Modeling: Calculate accurate program ROI, cost-benefit ratios, and prospective/retrospective savings at the individual client level.
- Report & Dashboard Generation: Take raw, complex SQL outputs and synthesize them into highly polished, comprehensive client-facing financial reports, dashboards, and PDF deliverables.
- Client-Facing Presentations: Translate complex technical data, population health metrics, and financial insights into clear, actionable business strategies for executive-level clients and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- SQL Subject Matter Expert (SME): Advanced, fluent proficiency in writing complex SQL queries from scratch is mandatory. A live SQL technical assessment will be administered during the interview process.
- Healthcare Financial Analytics: Proven background running ROI calculations, financial analysis, and savings modeling on clinical data, Utilization Management (UM), or medical management programs.
- Advanced MS Excel: Elite financial modeling capabilities, data manipulation skills, and standard report-building experience.
- Client-Facing Reporting Background: A documented career history of building and delivering custom customer-facing reports or presentation decks.
Education & Experience
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor-s degree is strictly required (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related field).
- Domain Experience: Strong background (6+ years) in Population Health Management is highly preferred. However, candidates with exceptional financial analytics experience within strong Clinical Programs will absolutely be considered.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Power BI / DAX: Hands-on experience with Power BI or PowerPivot is a significant plus as our department transitions away from Tableau.
