Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner

ELEKS Business Analysis Office is looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner in Croatia, Poland and Germany.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Gathering, analyzing, structuring, and documenting business and functional requirements for the relaunch of the public website and the intranet, as well as for the implementation of the new Content Management System (CMS).

The role supports the Project Manager in functional leadership and, when required, acts as the deputy central point of contact (SPOC).

REQUIREMENTS

• At least five years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex digital, web, CMS, portal, or intranet projects
• Strong experience in structured requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
• Experience planning and facilitating workshops with business departments, IT teams, and other stakeholders
• Proven ability to create epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and business specifications
• Practical experience with process modeling, particularly BPMN and/or UML
• Strong experience with agile methodologies, especially Scrum
• Experience with backlog management, refinement sessions, sprint planning, and sprint reviews
• Experience working closely with UX/UI, Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Project Management teams
• Experience in business testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and formal acceptance processes
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro or similar collaboration and project management tools
• Business-fluent German language skills, minimum C1 level
• Very good English language skills for collaboration with international project teams
• Reliable availability during the agreed CET/CEST core working hours
• Willingness and confirmed availability for approximately ten on-site meetings with the client in Magdeburg during the project duration

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Elicitation, analysis, structuring, and documentation of business and functional requirements
• Planning, preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of requirements and stakeholder workshops
• Analysis of requirements related to the website, intranet, CMS, interfaces, search functionality, content, and editorial processes
• Collaboration with Solution Architecture and the Technical Lead, particularly regarding integrations, non-functional requirements (NFRs), security, and technical dependencies
• Creation and maintenance of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business concepts/specifications
• Creation of process models, use cases, data models, and information models
• Support in defining information architecture, content models, and governance processes
• Translation of business requirements into actionable work items for UX/UI, Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams
• Maintenance and prioritization of the business backlog together with the Project Manager and the client.
• Participation in backlog refinements, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and other project meetings
• Documentation of decisions, open issues, dependencies, and change requests
• Functional support during testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and formal acceptance activities
• Support for content migration, including mapping, validation, and quality assurance
• Support the Project Manager with status reporting, workshops, and stakeholder communication
• Act as deputy SPOC when the Project Manager is unavailable
• Participation in required on-site meetings in Magdeburg
