Technical Sales Lead - Retrofits, Modifications and Upgrades
Eaton’s AER Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Technical Sales Lead - Retrofits, Modifications and Upgrades. This is a remote based position with expected travel of up to 25-50%. Candidates must currently reside in the U.S. and work from a U.S.-based location.
Aftermarket Retrofits, Modifications, & Upgrades (RMU's) are a key strategic initiative for the Aerospace Group growth strategy. In this role, you will partner closely with the Aftermarket Sales team to lead RMU opportunities for the FMC & FED Divisions at the Aerospace Group level. This role requires the skillsets to ensure business case success by clarifying and validating the value propositions of RMU pipeline opportunities. Individuals will be responsible for working with Field Sales team to understand the issues from customers and coordinate with Product Sales, Product Line Managers, Design Engineering and other key functions to develop marketable solutions to create Aftermarket Revenue Growth.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
- Create and develop relationships with internal sites and other functions:
- Promote as priority for the business.
- Secure support for development of RMU’s.
- Create and develop relationships with customers to drive AM RMU Growth:
- Support Customer interaction.
- Identify Technical/Business Champions and Influencers.
- Support path to Market.
- Identification of RMU’s:
- Pre-Vetting the right opportunities to streamline process.
- Product Knowledge and Gaps.
- Value Proposition Development:
- Understand the technical challenges (Customer & Eaton).
- Correlate repair & reliability data with performance to identify issues.
- Identify the marketable customer benefits.
- Creative technical solution development.
- Identify potential root cause and corrective action with limited information.
- See benefits through eyes of customer.
- Specify the Technical Requirements and Gaps.
- System Level impact of implementation.
- RMU Pipeline Management:
- Support Prioritization & Ranking.
- Increasing Probability for Early Development opportunities.
- Execute RMU’s to a time-based strategy.
- Communicate opportunities and issues to leadership team.
- Execute technical hand-off to the broader Engineering IPT Post Gate 2 and support on an advisory level for the life of the development program.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in product development and sustainment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• FAA PMA process experience.
• DLA SAR process experience.
• Experience with SharePoint List, Power BI and tools such as Salesforce, Enovia, Catia, etc.
• Experience working with OEM’s, Military, Commercial Airlines.
Skills:
• Aircraft products/systems and Eaton's applications within them, ideally in hydromechanical and Electromechanical domains.
• Skilled at cross-functional collaboration, influencing through inspiration, business acumen, customer centric.
