Senior Windows Cluster & Application Integration Engineer – KeyLink Backend Operations
Project description
The project focuses on providing L2/L3 engineering and infrastructure support for the KeyLink application hosted on Windows Failover Cluster environments, ensuring high availability, stability, and smooth FE/BE application operations. The role involves cluster administration, failover/switchover, and application recovery, FE/BE troubleshooting, log analysis, SQL/Oracle connectivity validation, SSL certificate management, PowerShell automation, and incident resolution, while coordinating with Windows, Database, Infrastructure, and Development teams.
Responsibilities
- -Manage and support Windows Server and Failover Cluster environments. -Perform cluster/application start, stop, move, switchover, and recovery activities. -Support KeyLink FE/BE applications, including Backend startup/shutdown sequences. -Monitor and analyze Windows cluster and application logs to troubleshoot production issues. -Validate SQL/Oracle application-to-database connectivity and troubleshoot related failures. -Manage SSL certificates using Windows MMC and resolve certificate-related issues. -Troubleshoot login, redirect, FE/BE communication, and failover issues. -Use PowerShell for operational tasks, health checks, and automation. -Document incidents, cluster switchovers, application recovery, and troubleshooting activities. -Coordinate with Windows, Cluster, DB, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams for issue resolution.
SKILLS
Must have
- - 7+ years of relevant experience in Windows Server Administration: Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, including services, Event Viewer, permissions, networking, system health checks, and production troubleshooting. - Windows Failover Clustering: Hands-on experience with Failover Cluster Manager, including cluster nodes, groups, resources, dependencies, failover, switchover, and cluster health monitoring. - Cluster Application Management: Experience performing application group start, stop, move, node switchover, failover validation, and application recovery within a Windows clustered environment. - KeyLink Application Support: Hands-on experience supporting KeyLink or similar enterprise applications, including FE/BE components, Backend startup/shutdown sequences, KK menu utilities, and application group management. - FE/BE Troubleshooting: Strong understanding of Front-End and Back-End communication with the ability to troubleshoot application flows, redirects, login issues, backend failures, and failover behavior. - Log Analysis: Strong ability to analyze Windows Event Viewer, cluster events, and FE/BE application logs to identify and troubleshoot application, cluster, and infrastructure issues. - SQL/Oracle Connectivity: Good understanding of SQL Server and Oracle connectivity with the ability to validate and troubleshoot application-to-database connectivity issues. - SSL Certificate Management: Hands-on experience installing, managing, and troubleshooting SSL certificates using Windows MMC and validating certificate-related application connectivity. - PowerShell: Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Windows administration, application/service monitoring, cluster health checks, troubleshooting, and automation of repetitive activities. - Production Support & Incident Management: Strong experience handling production incidents, application outages, cluster/Backend issues, application recovery, incident documentation, and timely technical escalation. - Cross-Team Coordination: Ability to effectively troubleshoot and coordinate with Windows Engineering, Cluster Administration, Database, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams for end-to-end issue resolution.
