Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer/Lead with strong expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks for Web, Desktop, and API applications. The role involves driving automation strategy, managing functional and regression testing, integrating test execution into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality software releases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using: o Playwright for Web applications o TestComplete and Python for Desktop applications
• Evaluate automation tools through PoCs and implement reusable framework components.
• Plan, manage, and execute functional, integration, system, and regression testing activities.
• Define automation strategies, estimations, and best practices, including Page Object Model (POM) design patterns.
• Automate UI, API, and end-to-end test scenarios and integrate them with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage test execution, defect tracking, and reporting using GitLab.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to provide testing updates and quality insights.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect triages, and release activities to ensure successful project delivery.

SKILLS

Must have

• Experience: 6+ years in Software Testing and Automation, with strong experience in framework design and automation strategy; highly communicative, outgoing, and proactive candidates with strong stakeholder-facing skills.
• Automation Tools: Playwright, TestComplete (Optional – but expected to learn quickly)
• Programming: Python (minimum 3 years of hands-on experience)
• Version Control: Git, GitLab
• CI/CD: Jenkins
• Database: Oracle, SQL Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with hybrid and data-driven automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
