Responsibilities

• Backend Automation (High Priority): Design, develop, and maintain robust API test automation frameworks, ensuring comprehensive coverage of data flows and integration points within the Atlas module.
• Frontend Automation: Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for web user interfaces to ensure a seamless and reliable user experience.
• Manual Testing: Design and execute manual tests for APIs, integrations, data flows, and web interfaces, including exploratory, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Test Planning & Documentation: Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Team Collaboration & Agile Delivery: Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, system architects, and compliance specialists to clarify requirements and regulatory constraints. Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide timely feedback, and promote quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Leverage AI Tools: Use modern AI-assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to accelerate test script development, improve code quality, and streamline the QA pipeline.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution. Analyze results from both manual and automated test execution, support root-cause analysis, retest fixes, and perform targeted regression testing.
• Release Readiness & Compliance: Contribute to the SDLC release process by preparing, reviewing, or approving Test Execution Reports (TERs) for production deployments and ensuring test evidence supports applicable AML, GDPR, and local regulatory requirements.
• Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Provide technical guidance, promote quality engineering best practices, review and improve test processes and methodologies, and recommend enhancements to manual and automated testing. Keep current with new testing tools, techniques, and technologies to improve quality and delivery efficiency.

SKILLS

Must have

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience, including substantial experience in both manual testing and test automation across backend systems, integrations, web user interfaces, and data-centric applications.
• Manual Testing Expertise: Proven ability to analyse requirements, design and execute detailed manual test cases and test scripts, perform exploratory and risk-based testing, validate API responses, integrations, data flows, and web user interfaces, and maintain clear test evidence and traceability.
• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in either Python or Java. As AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot are integrated into the daily workflow, logical thinking, clean test design, maintainable code, and architectural best practices are valued over syntax memorization.
• Backend & API Testing (High Priority): Proven experience automating REST and/or SOAP API tests with tools such as REST Assured, Requests, PyTest, or Postman. Strong understanding of integration testing, data integrity, source-to-target validation, microservices architecture, and SQL and NoSQL database concepts.
• Frontend Testing: Solid experience in web UI test automation using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, together with a good understanding of the DOM structure, XPath, and CSS selectors.
• CI/CD & Version Control: Practical experience with Git and a working understanding of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, including analysis of automated test-run results.
• Methodologies & Test Engineering: Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban, Jira, and Confluence. Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, test planning, defect management, test execution reporting, and functional and non-functional testing practices.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of Wealth Management or other financial products. • Experience in coordinating UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities. • Openness and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
