Working as a Java Developer/BI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions using JasperReports Server and Jaspersoft Studio.

Responsibilities

• Working as a Java Developer/BI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions using JasperReports Server and Jaspersoft Studio. Developing complex operational and analytical reports, dashboards, and scheduled report distributions for business stakeholders across multiple departments. Integrated reporting solutions with enterprise applications and various database systems, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and security. Collaborating with business users, analysts, and development teams to gather reporting requirements, optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance reporting capabilities. Managing JasperReports Server administration activities, including user access management, report deployment, scheduling, and system configuration.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Jasper Reports Server / Jaspersoft administration and development
• Proven experience with Jasper Reports Server version upgrades, preferably from 6.x to 8/9/10
• Strong knowledge of Java 17/21, Tomcat 10/11, and Jakarta EE migration (javax.* → jakarta.*)
• Experience with Spring Security and SSO/SAML/OIDC/LDAP/AD integrations
• Proficiency with Maven/Gradle build systems and dependency remediation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices; containerization experience would be a plus
• Strong SQL/database skills, particularly for repository migration and validation
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and conduct effective knowledge transfer
