DevOps Engineer

Our client, a large international commodity trading company, is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support and evolve the build, deployment, and infrastructure processes of a large-scale commodity trading platform. The role involves maintaining existing CI/CD and infrastructure setups while driving modernization initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery and to introduce modern DevOps practices aligned with the project's long-term technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain existing CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes; Ensure reliable build, packaging, and deployment of multiple services across environments; Improve automation, stability, and performance of build and release workflows; Participate in the design and implementation of modern deployment approaches (e.g., containerization and clustered environments); Evolve artifact storage, dependency management, and versioning practices; Manage and support Linux-based infrastructure and virtual machines; Collaborate with development teams to optimize application delivery and operational readiness; Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident resolution; Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing of DevOps processes and standards;

SKILLS

Must have

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (priority - GitLab CI, TeamCity); Solid knowledge of Linux systems and server administration; Experience supporting and deploying Java-based applications; Strong understanding of Maven and Java dependency management; Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar); Hands-on experience with containerization using Podman; Familiarity with container orchestration concepts (e.g., Kubernetes or similar platforms); Understanding of artifact repositories (Nexus) and versioning strategies; Experience working with virtualized environments and cloud or on-prem infrastructure; Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production systems;
