Calypso Developer

Project description

We are looking for an experienced Calypso Developer with experience in Calypso development. The role involves designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Calypso solutions across the trade lifecycle, product workflows, integrations, and related platform components. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, QA, and technology teams to deliver high-quality Calypso enhancements and production fixes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain solutions on the Calypso platform based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyse functional requirements and translate them into scalable Calypso technical solutions.
• Work across Calypso trade lifecycle processes, product configurations, workflows, and system components.
• Develop and enhance Calypso customizations, interfaces, reports, and related technical components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance-related problems.
• Participate in technical design, impact analysis, code reviews, and development activities.
• Support integration between Calypso and upstream/downstream systems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and other technology stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT and production deployments.
• Analyse logs and troubleshoot issues across Calypso application and integration layers.
• Support Calypso upgrades, releases, patches, and environment migrations where required.
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure adherence to development and coding standards.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5–7 years of relevant experience, with strong hands-on Calypso Development experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Calypso platform and architecture.
• Hands-on experience developing and customizing Calypso solutions.
• Good understanding of Calypso trade lifecycle and relevant product workflows.
• Experience with Calypso configuration, customization, interfaces, and technical components.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience working with Business Analysts and QA teams to deliver Calypso enhancements.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ability to analyse technical issues and provide effective root-cause solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming. • Knowledge of SQL/database concepts for data validation and troubleshooting. • Experience with Calypso APIs, messaging, workflows, reports, and interfaces. • Exposure to Capital Markets products such as Rates, Fixed Income, FX, Credit, or Derivatives. • Experience with Calypso Accounting/Backoffice modules. • Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and application log analysis. • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git. • Experience with Calypso upgrades, migrations, or version upgrades. • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
