Short Summary:
Discord is looking for an experienced and passionate Data Engineer, Analytics to join their data team, focusing on transforming data into reliable, well-documented tables and dashboards for various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain curated analytical datasets and data models.
- Own metric definitions from partnering with teams to implementing in production.
- Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and self-serve reporting tools.
- Partner with data science, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business questions into data assets.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards through testing frameworks and documentation.
- Drive adoption of consistent data modeling patterns and documentation norms.
Requirement:
- 3+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering with a focus on consumer-facing datasets.
- 3+ years of experience in designing and maintaining robust data models.
- 3+ years of experience writing effective SQL code.
- Experience with data models for various use cases, including experimentation.
- Fluency in Python or another programming language, with fundamentals in version control and CI/CD practices.
- Experience building executive-level dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
