Middle Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – AI Transformation

We’re building a new kind of transformation team.

Our starting point is a simple question:

If we could redesign this business from scratch with AI, how should it work?

We’re looking for exceptional Forward Deployed Engineers who can answer that question, and then build the answer.

As an FDE, you’ll sit at the intersection of software engineering, AI, product and business. You’ll go deep into how an organization works, challenge existing assumptions, reimagine how work should be done in an AI-native world, and build it.

This is a deeply hands on role. You’ll own problems end-to-end: from an ambiguous business challenge, through architecture and hands-on engineering, all the way to production, adoption and measurable business outcomes.

You won’t stop at recommendations or prototypes.

You own the outcome.

What you’ll do :

• Embed with teams to understand their workflows, decisions, data, systems and measures of success.
• Turn complex, open-ended problems into clear technical designs and production-grade solutions.
• Reimagine end-to-end business processes for an AI-native world, rather than simply automating how they work today.
• Architect and build AI powered applications, agents and workflows integrated with real enterprise systems and data.
• Write production quality software across APIs, integrations, data, cloud infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
• Deploy into production, test with real users and data, measure outcomes and continuously iterate.
• Work directly with everyone from engineers and operational users to senior executives.

We’re looking for exceptionally strong engineers and problem solvers, people who can enter an unfamiliar business, understand it quickly, imagine a radically better way for it to operate, and have the technical ability to build it.

Technical foundation :

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent evidence of exceptional technical ability.
• Excellent coding ability and strong Computer Science foundations, including data structures, algorithms and systems design.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, Go or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong experience in software architecture, backend development and production engineering, including APIs, integrations, databases, data flows and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure) and modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production monitoring.
• Proven experience building, debugging, deploying and operating production-grade software not only prototypes.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks and applied AI systems, including evaluation, reliability and observability in production.
