Short Summary:
Serves as a Medical Support Assistant (OA) for Family Medicine performing a full range of receptionist, recordkeeping, and other clerical duties.
Responsibilities:
- Performs the full range of receptionist, record keeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting.
- Schedules, maintains, and monitors patient appointments.
- Receives patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, in person or telephonically.
- Maintains all patients' records, both electronic and paper, according to regulation ensuring each entry contains proper patient and health care provider identification.
- Responds to emergency calls and notifies emergency medical personnel.
Requirement:
- One year specialized experience managing patient appointments and records, maintaining regulatory compliance, and using automated clinic systems.
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- US citizenship required.
