Short Summary:
Datadog’s Infrastructure products assist engineers in managing complex environments. The Staff Product Designer will focus on Containers Autoscaling, enhancing decision-making for resource usage in applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end product design for Modern Compute, focusing on Autoscaling.
- Define product direction from early framing to delivery.
- Design clear experiences for engineers making critical infrastructure decisions.
- Simplify complex technical concepts while maintaining detail for expert users.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to clarify decisions and connect work across teams.
- Set high standards for interaction and visual design.
- Create reusable patterns for consistency across products.
- Mentor other designers through feedback and partnership.
- Design and build realistic prototypes in code.

Requirement:
- 10+ years of experience designing complex web-based products.
- Exceptional interaction and visual design skills, especially in technical or data-heavy experiences.
- Experience leading ambiguous product work.
- Ability to simplify complex systems for expert users.
- Comfortable collaborating with product managers and engineers.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex ideas.
- Experience in creating systems or patterns across products and teams.
- Ability to mentor other designers.
- Proficiency in designing and building code-based prototypes.
