Data Migration Lead

Title: Data Migration Lead Location: Remote Data Migration Lead | M&A Data & Platform Transformation Rolling 6-month contract | Remote – UK | Databricks | Salesforce | Sage Intacct Lead end-to-end data migration activities for acquired businesses across a major M&A and enterprise transformation programme. Deliver hands-on data profiling, cleansing, transformation and mapping using Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, SQL and PySpark. Migrate complex legacy data from Salesforce, SAP, SugarCRM, Zendesk, HubSpot and custom applications. Transform and load data into Salesforce and Sage Intacct, ensuring accuracy, completeness and business alignment. Own source-to-target mapping specifications, transformation rules, data remediation and exception management. Build automated reconciliation and validation controls covering row counts, control totals, referential integrity and field-level assertions. Plan and execute mock migrations, dress rehearsals, UAT, cutover and post-load verification, including detailed runbooks and rollback criteria. Partner with business SMEs, legacy system owners and engineering teams to define data rules, resolve issues and secure migration sign-off. Communicate migration risks, dependencies, progress and technical decisions clearly to senior business and technology stakeholders. Build a repeatable migration playbook with reusable Databricks assets, templates, controls and engineering standards. Bring 7+ years’ enterprise data migration experience, with proven M&A integration or platform consolidation delivery; North American experience preferred.
