Work as a product owner in Tech solution RD vehicle and Drive systems team. Responsible for local IT product development, central product/project rollout and digital transformation strategy for RD future business. Work as tech front runner to drive and implement digital and AI based solutions for RD China business requirements.

Work closely with R&D engineering and validation functions to identify and prioritize high-value Digital Twin and Digital Validation use cases. Connect engineering data and processes across CAD/DMU, PLM/PDM, CAE and simulation, visualization/VR, vehicle data and physical test/validation environments, and establish an integrated digital thread supporting virtual engineering and validation. Drive use cases such as VR-based design reviews, Seat-Buck / ART integration, virtual ergonomics, simulation-based validation and other Digital Twin scenarios that can reduce dependency on physical prototypes, accelerate validation cycles and enable earlier engineering decisions.
Act as the key interface between R&D business, Digital Twin technology and IT. Provide the technical and product expertise required to assess solution concepts, define target architecture and integration requirements, evaluate model and data quality, challenge technical proposals from external partners, and steer solutions from concept and PoC towards sustainable business adoption. Ensure that Digital Twin solutions are not developed as isolated pilots, but become reusable and scalable capabilities integrated into R&D engineering processes.

Align China-specific requirements and use cases with headquarters counterparts and the global Digital Validation strategy. Identify opportunities for reuse of global solutions in China as well as potential contribution of China-developed Digital Twin capabilities to the global R&D ecosystem.

In addition, own and continuously develop selected local R&D digital products such as FMS, CELL and related AI-enabled solutions, and support the rollout and local adaptation of relevant headquarters products such as NERD. Ensure product delivery, supplier steering, system integration, quality, security, compliance and business adoption across the assigned digital product portfolio.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Digital Twin, Digital Validation, virtual engineering, simulation/CAE, engineering IT or digital product development, preferably within automotive R&D.

Proven experience in developing and implementing Digital Twin, Digital Validation or virtual engineering solutions from use-case definition and concept development through implementation and business adoption.

Strong understanding of Digital Twin and Digital Validation concepts, including digital thread, model lifecycle, engineering data integration, verification and validation.

Good understanding of automotive vehicle development and validation processes, with the ability to identify and translate business challenges into high-value Digital Twin use cases.

Experience with engineering data and toolchains involving CAD/DMU, PLM/PDM, CAE/simulation, visualization/VR and physical testing environments.

Experience with relevant engineering technology ecosystems such as Siemens, Dassault Systems, PTC, Ansys, Altair or MATLAB/Simulink is an advantage.

Ability to translate complex R&D requirements into product requirements, solution concepts, roadmaps and measurable business outcomes.

Strong product ownership experience, including solution evaluation, supplier steering, system integration, rollout and continuous improvement.

Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills across automotive engineering, IT, headquarters teams and external technology partners.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with a hands-on and result-oriented mindset; fluent English is required, German is an advantage.
